I'm on Instagram!
@broettomatheus

Are you guys there as well?

"Why don't you use the DeviantArt app instead?"
Because it simply doesn't work. It never worked. And never will.

Anyways.
Would like to meet you all there. Seems dA is getting silent, small, dunno. Maybe it's "shrinking" the term I'm looking for, here.
I miss Lew-GTR , Roddy1990  , Galm03 , Gardevoir-trainer , EnriqueGomez , BlackLeatheredOokami , Swiftys-Garage .... all of you from dA.

If you guys and gals have an Instagram account too, I'd like to know!

Pretty much that. My 2018 Ford Ka Sedan 1.5 SE was stolen in the morning of May 28th 2019.
Parked it on the street, went to my job, and when I was going back home... where's my car!?

Long story short: the car was recovered, intact, after a week. But I only got to know this a week after the recovery of my Ford. Meaning I spent two weeks and some days without my car, thinking it was scrapped or else.
I was looking for a replacement car already, because the police had told me nothing about the car, even though I went in person to the PD more than twice after the incident. Be known: the quality level of their services is low.

Well, I was about to make a passion-oriented choice, and a deal was near to be closed on a 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer GT 2.0, as soon as got the insurance money.
No deal.
The lil' Ford Sedan came back home.

C'mon you guys and gals, you all will forgive me for leaving deviantArt away for such long time (again). I miss not only this place, but you people too.
Because this journal thing of dA serves as a proper diary for me, I shall keep this session updated. After an year or so since the last entry... anyways.

1. I'm a father now! After months of a delicate pregnancy, we now have a baby girl with us :) Her name is Olívia, and as of now, she's almost 5 months old. What a pretty baby!

2. The Nissan March is no longer with me. It's been two weeks since I traded my '15 Nissan March 1.6 S. When my wife got pregnant, we knew the March would be crammed. The baby seat could fit in the car, yes. But along with the baby goes at least one bag or backbag, filled with baby diapers and baby clothes and baby stuff. All of this could go just fine. But when we needed to take the baby stroller with us, the thing became a behemoth, and nothing else could go in the little Nissan. The car was good, working well, etc, but we needed more room. So...

3. Got myself a Ford Ka Sedan! I'm still surprised by how I feel about the Ka Sedan. What a joy is to drive this car! I won't say more, as the best excuse to bring me back to deviantArt soon, with photos of it and, most important, being back to deviantArt properly.

4. New updates to my CARS I DROVE LIST. From cars in my family that were sold and bought, to various test-drives, I got to drive different models from different brands.
The proper update to the list will be posted here, as always. For now, I'll just leave the additions, briefly, so I don't forget them all.

"Broetto Navarro! You're not dead!"
This journal means that I'm not dead. I'm fine, actually.

"Why were you away for so long? I'ts been about a year since I last heard of you..."
The mood for photographing was gone during this time. I don't know why, I just didn't feel like getting my camera and going out shooting cars, or taking my miniatures for a photo session.

"Ain't it called art block?"
I wouldn't call it art block. The thrill of taking pictures was gone, mainly because my head was busy with other thoughts. My work, in particular, got... harder. I'd say I'm tired of it, one for the patience it takes away from me, and two the salary is, as of now, annoyingly low. I got plans for moving to a proper house, also. And only now it seems to be getting somewhere.

"I know you better because of your car! How is it? Have you changed cars?"
No reason to change cars. My '15 Nissan March 1.6 S is performing as I'd expect it to perform: no leaks, no fumes.

"I know you want to share news about the March. Tell'em!"
Ah yes! The all-stock looks are no longer. The front chromed grill is now matte black... and the ugh-so-small-stock 14" steel wheels were replaced by some sweet 16" alloys! It changed the whole look of the car, now it doesn't look cheap or has the exact same look of other Marchs. I still want some small mods for it, but for now, yes, it's looking good!

"Pics or didn't happen."
Sure thing. Expect pictures for the near future!

"Cars I Drove List... how's that?"
One new addition to said list: 2017 Chevrolet S10 High Country 2.8 Turbo Diesel 4X4. Driven at an off-road event hosted by Chevrolet, here in Uberlândia.

"Will you vanish in thin air again? Or can we expect to see more activities from you again?"
Forgive me for my complete absence in the past months. Yes, you may expect to see more from me, again, in the next days.

As I wrote this journal, some of you may have heard of the major turbulence rocking Brazil's political scenario.
President Dilma Rousseff is facing high possibilities of being ousted in the next days, and an impeachment process is about to be discussed by the Congress this Sunday (April 17 2016).
The country is dealing with a political crisis since late 2014, and on top of that, the economical background is worsening as time goes by.
I'm not unemployed, thankfully, but in the last months my salary is often late, and very often it is divided in two payments. It sucks.
Tension is high on the skies of Brazil this week.
If one asks me "Are you in favor of Ms. Rousseff's impeachment?", I reply "Yes. Please."

Keep an eye on the news regarding Brazil during this weekend.

How's life wth the Nissan March 1.6 S?

As of now, the lil' Nissan has seen approx. 17.200 kilometers of roads. It has visited Brasília, Londrina, Ampére, Blumenau, Bombinhas and Curitiba.
Some noises can be heard on the interior, thanks to the "smooth" pavements of our streets. The glove compartment's lid makes some rumbling noises, like it's loose. I couldn't figure out what is wrong with said item and the solution for this "musical" matter is expected to come from the next scheduled repair of 20.000 kms.

Also, the air-conditioning unit has made a couple of weird noises, one time in December, another time early this month. Don't know if I should worry much about it.

Apart from that, the car already faced weather conditions that would probably leave my previous car (99' Volkswagen Gol 1.6 CL) waiting for a tow truck and rescue team. The amount of rain that poured down in Brazil during December 15'-February 16' was ridiculous. So much, parts of highways and other roads were simply destroyed by floods. Even the March 1.6 S found itself battling some flash floods in the northern portion of the Paraná state, as I was driving on the road.
One of the flooded areas had quite a flow, I had to correct the driving line with the steering wheel in order to not be carried away by the water.
It was one of the most memorable days of my life. Amazing to see nature's fierce power right in your face. And glad to see how well the lil' Nissan fared through the waters.

...my wife was quite scared though.
