Just for the sake of sharing the news.
This will be the third time I travel to another city, where I know no one, going all by myself. All the three travels t'was me and my Volkswagen Gol.

The first time was the travel to Araxá ([link], to see classic cars at an event. I posted a journal about it, and posted lots of photos I took there. Spent the afternoon at said event, and came back home.

The second time was a travel to Goiânia ([link], a travel that I didn't post anything about in my page.
I went there in order to take part of some exams, some tests... trying to get a different job, ya know... one that give$ more money.
A couple of days before the travel, the Gol was showing some difficulty to turn the engine on. It wasn't something serious, and I didn't had the time to get it fixed before the travel.
Ok then, when I arrived in Goiânia and started to look for a hotel... hmmmm.
Everytime I arrived in a different hotel, I turned the car off and entered the lobby, asking for a room.
I repeated this task about five times.
Everytime I asked for a room, I heard "Sorry, no vacancy!".

Problem is, everytime I tried to turn my car on, the Gol didn't want to start its engine. The starter engine was faulty.
Night was approaching, I didn't knew the city, I couldn't find a single hotel room availabe in the city, and the city's avenues and streets were making me drive round and around, I got lost several times........ to a point that I really got tired of driving. All I wanted was to leave the car. Just leave the car away. I never felt like that.
After one of my failed tries to find a goddamn hotel room to spend the night, I walked away from the building and was heading back to my Gol, parked a block away.
When I looked ahead nearby the car, there was a sign saying "HOTEL". I didn't notice that hotel before, and I walked to the "new" hotel, hoping to find an available room.
Not only they had a room for me, but it was also rather cheap, and the room had two spare beds! Ha!
In the next morning, the Gol still had problems with the starter engine, but eventually worked.
The exam wasn't that hard, but, well, I didn't get the job. My score wasn't high enough.
When I came back home, the first thing I did was getting my car fixed. Since then, it's working just fine.

Now I'm about to go to Brasília ([link], Brazil's capital. I've been there a couple of times. Last time was 2009 I guess.
Difference is, now I'm going alone. It may sound boring to one or two... but for me it sounds adventurous.
Don't expect for photos, I won't take my camera with me. I need to stay focused, I'm going to Brasília to take some tests, and depending on the results I'll be ready to start the practical classes at my "aviators' studies".

The Gol is working well, so I hope I won't have troubles with it.
By the way, I bought a new pair of headlamps for it, the same ones that were used on the Mk.II Gol GTI.
The new headlamps gives me more vision during the night, and gives the car a more decent look.

Thank you!

I almost passed the exams. There were 5 different subjects, each one had 20 questions. To pass the exam, I should get 14 questions per subject right.

I failed at the "Airspace Regulations" part of the test, where I got 13 questions right.
Missed by one question!

Well, at least I don't need to re-do all th exam. Now I need to study just "Airspace Regulations".
